As the world’s population grows, the need for a sustainable food supply also increases exponentially. At Arm & Hammer Animal and Food Production, we view this as both an obligation and an opportunity. We are committed to charting a sustainability course forward that addresses the real needs of our customers and the world.

To do this, we’re establishing a robust platform that identifies key priorities and formalizes many of the actions we’ve been taking on sustainability-related issues for years. It shows how our #ScienceHearted people, products and technologies can continue to help customers meet today’s needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs.

The three pillars.

Our sustainability platform is built on three equally important pillars: responsible animal production, the environment, and people.

Arm & Hammer Animal and Food Production 3 pillars of sustainability

1. Charting the #ScienceHearted journey toward responsible animal production.

Cultivating healthy animals is an essential part of our business. Our team partners with producers to raise resilient, healthy, more productive animals. By supporting our customers in this way, we help them meet the sustainability goal of producing more food with fewer resources.

2. Charting the #ScienceHearted journey toward environmental milestones.

We strive to exceed expectations when it comes to our environmental impact. Our products and technologies help producers reach their sustainability goals, both directly and indirectly. Some increase animal feed efficiency, which also allows the world to produce more food with fewer resources, while others help ensure the safety of the food chain by improving biosecurity on farms and in processing facilities with innovative phage and DBDMH technologies.

3. Charting the #ScienceHearted journey toward meeting the needs of people.

For our employees, we provide the training and resources necessary for them to do their important work safely and successfully. We also embrace our responsibility to help meet the needs of all people by doing our part to maintain a secure, robust food chain that will help feed a growing planet.

For each of these pillars, we’re in the process of identifying specific action steps and milestones to help us move forward with discipline and determination.
